The War Within and What Comes Next
Everything since the Titans has pointed here: the fight for Azeroth's own soul, across three expansions.
The War Within opens the Worldsoul Saga, the trilogy that pays off the oldest thread in the story - Azeroth's world-soul. Strange visions and a Void assault drive the heroes deep underground into Khaz Algar, through the nerubian kingdoms and the machine-cities the Titans left behind, chasing an enemy that has been whispering since the very beginning.
The manipulator is Xal'atath, a herald of the Void turning the Old Gods' old ambition into a coordinated plan to claim the waking world-soul. Midnight, the live chapter, is the Void-shadowed assault on the elven homeland, and its last patch takes the fight into Azeroth's worldcore itself.
The saga ends in the frozen north. Blizzard named the closing chapter The Last Titan at BlizzCon 2026 and confirmed a return to Northrend, where the Titans' greatest secrets, and Azeroth's fate, still wait. Nothing past the destination has been announced.
