Blood Death Knight races and racials

Choose a racial for the mechanic, pull, or PvP matchup it solves; Blood gains more from usable utility than from a tiny simulated damage difference.

PvE utility: Night Elf or Dwarf

For Blood, utility is worth more than chasing a tiny racial damage difference. Shadowmeld can reset or avoid targeted mechanics; Stoneform and Fireblood remove dangerous effects without spending a larger defensive.

Horde tank options

Highmountain Tauren brings steady durability and Bull Rush utility; Tauren brings War Stomp; Goblin supplies a needed movement button. Pick the racial that solves the pull or encounter you actually run.

PvP Horde: Orc first

Hardiness is dependable into stun-heavy teams. If you already have an Orc Death Knight, Pandaren gives an extra setup stop and Troll is the burst-oriented alternative.

Deutschtranslated-draft

Horda no JxJ: Orc primeiro

Frost Death Knight races and racials

Pandaren adds the strongest Horde setup tool for Frost PvP, while Orc, Troll, and defensive dispel racials answer different matchups and PvE mechanics.

Best Horde PvP: Pandaren

Quaking Palm gives Frost an extra setup button: hold one target briefly while you create the grip, Blinding Sleet, and Pillar of Frost window on another. Do not use it into damage that will break it immediately.

Horde alternatives: Orc, then Troll

Orc is the consistent defensive option for stun-heavy games. Troll provides the biggest pure offensive button, but Berserking's long cooldown often gives only one important arena use.

PvE and Mythic+ utility

Dwarf or Dark Iron Dwarf are excellent when their self-cleanse answers a dungeon or raid effect. Night Elf brings high-skill routing and reset utility. The raw racial damage gap is not a reason to race-change a Frost Death Knight.

Deutschtranslated-draft

Horde-Alternativen: Orc, dann Troll

Alternatives Horde : Orc, puis Troll

Unholy Death Knight races and racials

Orc is the practical Horde PvP default for Unholy; Pandaren adds setup control, Troll adds a burst button, and PvE dispel racials can outweigh tiny throughput differences.

Best Horde PvP: Orc

Orc remains Unholy's dependable Horde choice: Hardiness helps against stun pressure and Command improves pet damage. It is the practical default when you only want one Unholy Death Knight.

If you already have Orc: Pandaren or Troll

Pandaren is the next practical PvP option for Quaking Palm setup utility. Troll is the burst-focused alternative through Berserking, but its long cooldown makes it less reliable across an arena match.

PvE and Mythic+ utility

For difficult dungeon or raid effects, Dwarf or Dark Iron Dwarf self-cleanses can be more valuable than a small throughput racial. Choose your Horde race for the utility you will actually press, not a simulated fraction of a percent.

Deutschtranslated-draft

Portugues (Brasil)translated-draft

  • Not counting: this tier has no VIEW_HASH_SALT, so a visitor key written here would be reversible to an address. Set it from the console Environment tab. The ledger is empty because it refused to write, not because nobody visited.
  • Where they came from
  • Nothing recorded in this window.
  • What they landed on
  • Route patterns, not URLs. Every character, item and thread id is folded away before anything is stored, so this can never become a list of who looked at what.
  • Channels we opened on purpose
  • Arrivals carrying an allowlisted

  • tag. This is how a channel like the addon proves itself instead of disappearing into direct.
  • Distinct humans per day
  • Counted per day and including in-site loads, so a row here is not comparable with the 30-day totals above: a visitor who came back on four days is four rows here and one human there.

  • Organic search. The only channel that was open before this ledger existed.

  • Record a log worth reading
  • A combat log is only as good as the settings it was recorded with. Four minutes of setup is the difference between a flat damage list and a file that can tell you which cooldown was missing when the tank died.
  • What the numbers mean
  • Every figure below is computed from the raw events in your file. Where two reasonable definitions exist, the one used here is stated so you can compare against another tool without wondering which of you is wrong.
  • spec guide

  • Turn on Advanced Combat Logging
  • Open Options, then System, then Network, and tick Advanced Combat Logging. Without it the log still parses, but it carries no health values, no pet ownership, and no gear or position data.
  • Start the log before the pull
  • Find the file
  • It is written to World of Warcraft\\_retail_\\Logs\\WoWCombatLog.txt. A full raid night is often several hundred megabytes, which is fine here because the file is streamed rather than loaded whole.
  • Rename it between nights
  • The game appends to the same file forever. Rename or move it after each raid so one night is one file and the fight list stays readable.
  • DPS and HPS
  • Effective healing
  • Healing that actually restored missing health. The game logs the gross number, so overhealing and any healing eaten by a heal absorb come back off before the total. Overhealing is still shown on its own so you can see where a cooldown was wasted.
  • Overkill
  • Damage past the target's remaining health. It counts as damage done because the swing landed, but a large overkill share on execute abilities usually means the kill was already secured.
  • Pets
  • A gargoyle, an army, a Wild Imp, and a Feral Spirit all report their damage under the player who owns them, with the pet named on the ability row so the source stays clear.
  • Enemies
  • Every copy of a mob is merged onto one row by name, so a Mythic+ pull reads as one enemy rather than forty. Enemies are hidden until you tick Include enemies.
  • Absorb shields have no caster credit
  • The log records absorbed damage on the hit itself, which the damage taken view shows. It does not attribute that absorb to the player who cast the shield, so a Discipline Priest's shielding will not appear as healing done.
  • Fights come from the game, not from guesswork
  • A fight appears when the client wrote ENCOUNTER_START and ENCOUNTER_END, or a Mythic+ start and end. Open world pulls and target dummy testing have no such markers, so they roll up into the Entire log row instead of being split by invented rules.
  • One log is one point of view
  • The client only records what your character could see. Damage dealt on the far side of a split phase, or before you zoned in, is simply not in the file.
  • Specs come from the pull

  • Midnight reduced stackable reagents and consumables from three quality tiers to normal and high. Use the output price and reagent cost that match the tier you actually plan to craft.
  • Multicraft is not universal
  • It applies to stackable outputs. Equipment, tools, and other one-off crafts should keep Multicraft disabled unless the in-game recipe explicitly says otherwise.
  • Concentration is a quality decision
  • Concentration reaches the next quality tier. Its value depends on that tier's sale price and your own available Concentration, so the calculator exposes those assumptions instead of inventing a proc value.
  • Recipe structure and current market prices come from Blizzard's public APIs. Character-only inputs, including knowledge, profession equipment, specialization bonuses, Concentration, and the exact Resourcefulness refund shown in-game, stay under your control.

  • Reference pages earn indexing
  • Corrections improve the archive
  • Helpful beats a larger index
  • WoW-God is built to help someone make a better in-game decision. These standards explain how we handle authored guides, live sources, uncertainty, and corrections.
  • Editorial standards
  • Using the site responsibly
  • Browse authored guides
  • Inspect the content catalog
  • Report a correction
  • next
  • Class, encounter, arena, macro, and keybind guides must answer a player decision: what to do, when to do it, why it works, and what changes by build, role, or encounter. A catalog entry, tooltip, or leaderboard row is not treated as a guide by itself.
  • When a character, leaderboard, or market source cannot be verified, the page should say so or remain unavailable. We do not invent a player profile, gear set, record, parse, or current best-in-slot result to fill a page.
  • Rotations, talents, consumables, and encounter instructions can change with a patch or hotfix. Guides identify their season or patch context and should be revised when the underlying mechanics change rather than silently preserving obsolete advice.
  • A lookup page is useful in the app, but it is not automatically an editorial search result. Database and tool pages are kept out of the editorial sitemap until they include enough original completion help, context, and verification to stand on their own.
  • Players can raise a correction or a missing context issue through the community area. Corrections should name the page, claim, current patch or mode, and a reproducible source or in-game observation.

Forever is the Classic Plus that stopped being a rumor

World of Warcraft: Forever launches November 4, 2026, with beta on September 17 for Epic Pack and Collection buyers. A permanent level-60 Azeroth with no realms, four rulesets, four new zones, nine dungeons, two raids, Legacy progression, Camping, six new race and class pairs, and the Skyborne.

  • Forever is the Classic Plus that stopped being a rumor
  • The short answer
  • A third version of the game, capped at 60, with no realms
  • What is confirmed, and by whom
  • Rulesets instead of realms
  • There is no realm list. You choose how you want the world to behave, and everyone who chose the same thing shares it. The choice is sticky: no grouping across rulesets, and factions stay apart inside each one.
  • Ruleset

  • When does World of Warcraft: Forever launch?
  • How do I get into the Forever beta?
  • Beta access from September 17 comes with the Skyborne Epic Pack or the Warcraft Forever Collection. The cheaper Skyborne Heroic Pack includes the race and the Zephras Isle start but not the beta.
  • Does Forever have realms?
  • No. You pick a ruleset instead: Normal, PvP, Roleplaying, or Hardcore, each working like one mega-realm. You cannot group across rulesets, factions stay separate, and names have two parts per region.
  • Is Hardcore in Forever at launch?
  • No. Blizzard says Hardcore is available after launch. It is a fully enclosed ruleset, and a character that dies there can transfer to another ruleset, including PvP, instead of being lost.
  • Is Forever the same thing as WoW Classic?
  • No. Classic replays the original game on its original timeline. Forever is a separate, permanent version set after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, on a reimagined Azeroth that keeps receiving new content.
  • What is the level cap in Forever?
  • Level 60, with no flying and no level scaling. New zones, dungeons and quests are spread through the 1 to 60 range instead of stacked above it.
  • What is the new race in WoW Forever?
  • The Skyborne, starting on Zephras Isle. You pick Alliance or Horde at creation: Alliance Skyborne can be Mages, Horde Skyborne can be Shaman, and both can be Warriors, Hunters, Rogues and Druids.

The Promise of Tomorrow is the patch between Ula'tek and Eclipse

Midnight patch 12.1.5, The Promise of Tomorrow, adds a campaign through Quel'thalas, Zul'Aman and the Coiled Isle, the one-boss raid The Unbinding of Kith'ix, the first Labyrinth, Kindo'jan, the hourly Aqir Invasion, and Ascendant Venomstones for Season 2 gear. On the PTR now, no release date.

  • The Promise of Tomorrow continues the Season 2 story. A character that has not cleared the Curse of Ula'tek chapters will be gated behind them first.

Talebound is the roguelike Midnight did not have

Talebound is a new World of Warcraft game mode arriving with the Echoes of the Worldcore update: story runs as a Slayer, Inquisitor or Witch through Darkhaven, Greenthistle Wood, Greywake's Expedition and Grove of the Night Court, with Quillgrave as the hub. PTR in October.

  • Humans are the classic Alliance all-rounder: adaptable, disciplined, and easy to fit into military, holy, arcane, criminal, noble, or ordinary-adventurer stories.
  • Clean transmog proportions make armor sets, weapons, tabards, and heritage pieces easy to read.
  • A safe pick when you want grounded Alliance identity without locking yourself into a narrow fantasy.
  • Humans cannot be every class, but their available roster is broad: Paladin, Warrior, Priest, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, Hunter, Monk, and Death Knight all have clean lore hooks.
  • Stormwind’s modern identity was forged through loss. The First War destroyed the old kingdom, scattered its survivors, and forced its nobles, soldiers, masons, priests, merchants, and refugees to rebuild under the Alliance banner.
  • Human stories usually revolve around faith in the Light, martial discipline, court politics, arcane study, criminal underworlds, family duty, and the stubborn habit of rebuilding after catastrophe.
  • paladin

  • Plate, shield, tabard, polished gold trim

  • rogue
  • Alliance agent
  • Leather, daggers, dark cloak, practical kit
  • Fallen champion
  • Runed plate, greatsword, frost-blue glow
  • A Human Death Knight carries the strongest tragedy hook: a fallen kingdom, a broken life, and a second chance at a purpose.
  • Armor tends to look stout and heavy, which fits defensive roles well.
  • Night Elf
  • Tall silhouettes make robes, leather, bows, and glaives stand out.
  • Druid, Hunter, Rogue, Priest, and Demon Hunter are the most iconic Night Elf starting points.
  • Small model can feel nimble in crowded encounters and PvP.
  • Mage, Warlock, Rogue, and Warrior all fit the Gnome identity cleanly.
  • Armor and weapons read large and heroic on the Draenei frame.
  • Paladin, Priest, Shaman, and Mage are the most natural Draenei class fantasies.
  • Worgen combine Gilnean nobility with feral aggression, giving Alliance players a darker, faster, monster-hunter style identity.
  • Druid, Rogue, Warrior, Hunter, and Death Knight are especially strong Worgen concepts.
  • Pandaren are calm, expressive, and martial, with a strong identity around balance, food, exploration, and Monk tradition.
  • A rare neutral race choice that can join either faction.
  • Monk is the signature Pandaren class, with Shaman, Priest, Mage, and Warrior also fitting well.
  • Large shoulders and weapon scale make martial transmogs look powerful.
  • Warrior, Shaman, Hunter, Warlock, and Death Knight are standout Orc picks.
  • Undead characters lean into Forsaken horror, survival, plaguecraft, shadow magic, and grim Horde storytelling.
  • Priest, Warlock, Rogue, Mage, and Death Knight are especially natural Forsaken choices.
  • Tauren are large, spiritual, and grounded, built around nature, ancestry, endurance, and the plains of Mulgore.
  • Druid, Shaman, Warrior, Hunter, and Paladin are the strongest Tauren themes.

  • Distinct animations and posture make the character feel different immediately.
  • Hunter, Shaman, Druid, Priest, and Rogue are especially strong Troll class identities.
  • Blood Elf
  • Blood Elves are elegant, arcane, and Light-touched, giving Horde players a refined magical and martial fantasy.
  • Paladin, Mage, Priest, Hunter, Rogue, and Demon Hunter are iconic Blood Elf picks.
  • Small model and expressive animations make gameplay feel snappy.

  • Dark armor, fire effects, and heavy weapons fit them extremely well.
  • Warrior, Paladin, Shaman, Mage, and Warlock are standout Dark Iron choices.
  • Lightforged Draenei
  • Paladin, Priest, Warrior, and Hunter are the cleanest Lightforged Draenei picks.
  • Highmountain Tauren
  • Highmountain Tauren are rugged descendants of Huln Highmountain, tied to the Broken Isles, river tribes, moose antlers, and mountain survival.
  • Their visual identity pairs well with leather, mail, tribal armor, shields, and two-handed weapons.
  • Druid, Shaman, Hunter, and Warrior are the most natural Highmountain Tauren class themes.
  • Kul Tiran
  • Kul Tirans bring seafaring Alliance identity: sailors, tidesages, wicker magic, marines, and hardy island survivors.
  • A heavier human silhouette makes armor and weapons feel grounded.
  • Druid, Shaman, Warrior, Rogue, Hunter, and Priest are especially strong Kul Tiran themes.

What now?

You hit max level and the game stopped telling you what to do. The first week in order, the addons that save you an afternoon, and what your class actually presses in each fight - with every gap stated instead of guessed.

  • What now?
  • You hit max level and the game stopped telling you what to do. The first week in order, the addons that save you an afternoon, and what your class actually presses in each fight - with every gap stated instead of guessed.
  • You hit max level and the game stopped telling you what to do. Every guide assumes you already know the words. This page is the other thing: the first week in order, the tools that save you an afternoon, and what your specific class presses in each fight.
  • It is also the page where we say what we do not know. That is not modesty. It is the whole point, and the next section explains why.
  • Why this page says "we do not know" out loud
  • A player asked a general-purpose AI where to find a beast to tame. It gave exact coordinates. They were wrong. She flew there, asked again, asked again, and eventually it said:
  • oh, you caught me, I have led you down a path that was incorrect.
  • It had invented the answer rather than say it did not have one.
  • That is the failure this site is built against. A confident wrong answer costs more than no answer, because you act on it. So every page here separates what was checked against a primary source from what was not, and a gap is printed rather than filled in.
  • Your first week, in order
  • the gearing path
  • The tools that give you the afternoon back
  • Do not install these
  • The reason this section exists. Search the obvious term and these come back: real pages, familiar names, hundreds of thousands of downloads, and abandoned a decade ago. An out-of-date addon costs you the same afternoon a wrong coordinate does.
  • Hunters: do not walk the zone
  • Before your first raid night: what YOU press
  • What this site does not know yet
  • If something here is wrong, say so in the comments and it gets fixed with a source. That is the only way a list like this stays honest.

  • Talent import strings are from the previous patch.
  • Patch 12.1 moved and removed talents in several trees, so a string may import a build that no longer exists. They are labelled rather than rewritten, because rewriting one without a source is guessing.
  • Dungeon fights are not in the class duty tool yet.
